Once Upon A Time…

There was a renovation happening for a large children’s space. The concept was that it would look like a park, and a beautiful 3 piece carpet tiling of grass and cobblestone was chosen. The non-profit people liked it very much but it unfortunately was not in the budget.

I was tasked to find an alternative and wasn’t thrilled with my options.

I wanted green carpet tiles that looked natural- but instead found abrupt edges and repeating patterns. The designer in me sighed and thought there must be a better a way. I opened up my laptop and tried a few things. I reworked it, and refined it, and am proud to say:

My name in Heather and I’m from the Ottawa area. Art, craft and design has always been a part of my life and continues to be to this day.

With 10+ years in graphic design and 5+ years designing for hospitality and public spaces, I understand how to translate creative vision into real-world impact. My approach is hands-on, emotionally intelligent, and deeply intuitive.

Patent Pending status for the design process in creating a seamless, non-directional tile with applications across multiple design and manufacturing sectors.
